Nicole Andrews is a self-taught pianist, singer and electronic musician from Portland Oregon, now based in Wellington New Zealand.

Her music has been described as “Simple, stripped back, yet incredibly solid” by NZ Musician Magazine; and The Listener Magazine have said “for those who like their femininity fierce and fearless.”

Originally inspired by solo female songstresses like Tori Amos and PJ Harvey, and borrowing from an eclectic vein of artists like Goldfrapp, Nine Inch Nails and Bjork; Nicole’s musical evolution has incorporated these influences with an intriguing effect. The result is a raw and introspective style, with delicate, yet cutting vocals.

With the release of her second album, Nicole moves into the electronic realm of dark synthesizers paired with dirty bass and industrial beats. The album unveils a collision of haunting vocals, dramatic surges, and confessional darkness. Featuring production by Rhombus’s Thomas Voyce; bringing Nicole’s compositions to a new level.
